Singing Lessons
From basic techniques to more advanced methods, singers (or would be singers!) of all ages & abilities are catered for. From the absolute beginner who doesn’t know where to start, to the rock singer who needs help with vocal stamina whilst on tour, to the classically trained vocalist who just wants to try something new, everyone’s welcome!
I also run regular workshops, a choir, and hold events for my singers to try their hand at performance. We've built a supportive little singing community where everyone is welcome!

Face to face lessons take place on the western side of Aldershot, situated on the edge of Surrey & Hampshire. Just 10 mins drive from Farnham, Church Crookham and Farnborough, and ideal for Guildford, Godalming, Woking, Fleet, Frimley etc etc!
Online lessons also available via Zoom or Google Meet.
Prices:
Lessons at my house or online cost £45.00 for 1 hour, £35.00 for 45 minutes & £25.00 for 30 minutes one to one.
The fee to add another singer to your lesson is £10 (ie. One hour for two people is £55, split however you wish).
I can also travel to students homes, depending on your location and my availability. Costs vary depending on mileage, but typically cost £75-80 for an hour lesson in the Aldershot/Farnham/Guildford area. Please feel free to contact me if you have any other requirements (ie. you want to share lessons with a friend etc) & to check availability.

Lessons must be paid for at the time of the lesson, or in advance (by either cash or cheque). Please make cheques payable to Lucy Burton.

48 hours notice for cancellations must be given, or the full fee for the lesson will apply.

About Lucy
I first started taking singing lessons aged 14 whilst at school, & soon joined my first band, Soul Matters, aged 16. From them on, singing & gigging has become a way of life for me! The progression to teaching came after graduating from Guildford's Academy of Contemporary Music with Distinction in 2001. I have been singing professionally & running a successful teaching business since then. Recently students of mine have found success gigging in bands of their own, with management deals & recording contracts with major lables.
Alongside building up my teaching business I took the step from singing in function bands, to managing them as well, which had me performing all over the country in a variety of venues (from pubs & universities to more prestigious venues such as the Birmingham NEC), & for a wide range of clients (from private functions & weddings to corporate clients, such as British American Racing, Sainsburys & Balfour Beatty) with successful professional function band The Party People.
After over 8 years of function gigs every weekend I decided I'd earnt a break, & began to focus on writing & performing my own material, first with my band Sea Foam Green, & more recently on my own - which means dusting off the guitars & experimenting with a few new styles..
All this experience has enabled me to build up a wide repertoire & has given me lots of useful experiences to draw on in my teaching.
Currently alongside my private students I also teach Trinity Roch & Pop for those who wish to take grades, coach vocalists taking Music Performance BTEC at Farnborough Sixth Form College, and occasionally cover various performance/technical development classes at The Academy of Contemporary Music in Guildford.
